Notification | Use of Designation and Name of the Authority instead of ‘Competent Authority’ | Government of Pakistan Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division | February 28, 2022
In pursuance of the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan passed on 30-12-2021 in Civil Appeal No. 62-K of 2021 arising out of Civil Petition No. 407-K of 2019 all government (federal and provincial) entities, including statutory, semi-government, and autonomous organizations are required to ensure forthwith that wherever in the official documents the words competent authority is to be used, the designation and name of that authority be also indicated to prevent misuse by persons legally unauthorized to exercise the powers vested in the authority and to ensure that the person in which authority is vested remains accountable.
30-12-2021 کو پاکستان کی معزز سپریم کورٹ کی ہدایات کے مطابق سول اپیل نمبر 62-K آف 2021 میں منظور کی گئی سول پٹیشن نمبر 407-K آف 2019 سے پیدا ہونے والی تمام سرکاری (وفاقی اور صوبائی) اداروں قانونی، نیم سرکاری، اور خود مختار اداروں سمیت فوری طور پر اس بات کو یقینی بنانا ضروری ہے کہ جہاں کہیں بھی سرکاری دستاویزات میں مجاز اتھارٹی کے الفاظ استعمال کیے جائیں، وہاں اس اتھارٹی کا عہدہ اور نام بھی ظاہر کیا جائے تاکہ استعمال کرنے کے لیے قانونی طور پر غیر مجاز افراد کے غلط استعمال کو روکا جا سکے۔ اتھارٹی میں موجود اختیارات اور اس بات کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے کہ جس شخص کے اختیار میں ہے وہ جوابدہ رہے۔
