The Punjab government has abolished Rule A-17, the children of employees who died during this time will not be charged on quota.

Appointment under Rule 17-A abolished

The Punjab government abolished Rule 17A. Now the children of those who die during service will not get government jobs on the service quota.

Earlier, according to Rule 17A, a son and daughter were given a government job on death during the service during the service.

Services and General Administration Department Punjab issued a notification to amend the rules.
