Press Release | PTA Temporarily Suspends PUBG Game | Pakistan Telecommunication Authority
Islamabad (July 01, 2020) In view of complaints received from different segments of society, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has decided to temporarily suspend the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) game. PTA has received numerous complaints against PUBG wherein it is stated that the game is addictive, wastage of time and poses a serious negative impact on the physical and psychological health of the Children.
According to recent media reports, cases of suicide attributed to PUBG game have also been reported. Honourable Lahore High court has also directed PTA to look into the issue and decide the matter after hearing the complainants. In this regard, a hearing is being conducted on 9th of July 2020. The Authority also decided to solicit views of the public with reference to the said online game. In this regard, the public is encouraged to provide feedback through consultation-pubggpta.gov.pk by July 10, 2020.
اسلام آباد (01 جولائی ، 2020) معاشرے کے مختلف طبقات سے موصولہ شکایات کے پیش نظر ، پاکستان ٹیلی مواصلات اتھارٹی (پی ٹی اے) نے پلیئر نا واقف کے میدان جنگ (PUBG) کھیل کو عارضی طور پر معطل کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ پی ٹی اے کو پی یو بی جی کے خلاف متعدد شکایات موصول ہوئی ہیں جس میں کہا گیا ہے کہ یہ کھیل لت کا شکار ہے ، وقت کا ضیاع ہے اور بچوں کی جسمانی اور نفسیاتی صحت پر شدید منفی اثر ڈالتا ہے۔
حالیہ میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق ، پی یو بی جی گیم سے منسوب خودکشی کے معاملات بھی سامنے آئے ہیں۔ معزز لاہور ہائیکورٹ نے پی ٹی اے کو بھی ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ اس معاملے کو دیکھیں اور شکایت کرنے والوں کی سماعت کے بعد اس معاملے کا فیصلہ کریں۔ اس سلسلے میں ، 9 جولائی 2020 کو سماعت کی جارہی ہے۔ اتھارٹی نے مذکورہ آن لائن گیم کے حوالے سے عوام کے خیالات رکھنے کا بھی فیصلہ کیا۔ اس سلسلے میں ، عوام کو 10 جولائی 2020 تک مشورے- pubgpta.gov.pk کے ذریعے رائے فراہم کرنے کی ترغیب دی جاتی ہے۔
