The Government of Punjab Finance Department issued a notification to the district account officer with reference to letter number DAO/MBD/ADMN/HM 2435 dated 7th August 2018 in connection with Clarification Regarding CA and Grant of 48 Casual Leaves to SSTs and SSs Working Against the Post of the Head of School.

The letter is regarding Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, and Grant of 48 Casual Leaves to SSTs and SSs. These are officials or officers working as Educators (Teachers) or Administrators (Head Teachers) in the School Education Department.
According to the notification the mentioned SSTs and SSs are eligible to receive charge allowance instead of Conveyance allowance.
Admissibility of Charge Allowance
According to the notification of the finance department the Charge Allowance is admissible to the following:
- Regular Headmaster
- Regular Headmistress
- Principals
Admissibility of Conveyance Allowance
The Finance Department already issued a notification or letter of even numbers dated on 28th February 2014. In addition, it Conveyance allowance of the post of Headmaster Headmistress and Principles is also not admissible to the teachers mentioned above. The reason is that they have not been appointed by the complete authority in their own pay and scales.
